75th Ranger Regiment
Ranger Fitness Test / RASP
Soldiers join the 75th Ranger Regiment through the Ranger Assessment and Selection Program (RASP). The regiment’s recruiting page lists the Ranger Fitness Test — 41 push-ups in 2 minutes, a 2:35 plank, 5 miles in 40 minutes or less and 6 pull-ups — and a 12-mile foot march with a 35 lb rucksack and weapon in under 3 hours. goarmy.com gives the same push-ups, plank and pull-ups and a five-mile run in under 40 minutes.

What a Ranger earns — Fort Benning/Fort Moore, Georgia (BAH area GA075)
- SDAP SD-5 instead of SD-4 — by pay grade and RASP/Ranger School$375 per month
- Military free fall instead of static line (HDIP; FMR still lists $225) provisional$240 per month
2026 rates, gross per month. A single junior soldier usually lives in barracks, so BAH is off by default (off post without dependants: GA075 rates; with dependants it is higher). In the 75th Ranger Regiment SDAP starts at E-5: SD-4 or SD-5 by pay grade and RASP/Ranger School. Parachute pay assumes jump orders (Army static line $200). Not included: hostile fire pay and bonuses. Source file: data/us/pay.md.

- Water: a 15 m swim in full uniform (Water Survival Assessment).

Questions
Is the 3-hour march an official standard?
It comes from a single official source: the 75th Ranger Regiment recruiting page (archived 8 January 2026), which says “in under 3 hours”. goarmy.com gives only the distance and the 35 lb rucksack, so treat the march time as provisional.
T push-ups or hand-release push-ups?
The regiment’s page says “41 T Push-Ups in 2 minutes”, goarmy.com says “41 hand-release push-ups”; the number is the same. Older lists with sit-ups and a 2-mile time come from the retired APFT format and are not used here.
Where do the numbers come from?
From the 75th Ranger Regiment recruiting page on benning.army.mil (archived copy of 8 January 2026) and the goarmy.com page “Army Rangers” (read 18 October 2026).
