Jægerkorpset — Operatør (jægersoldat)
Fysisk test niveau 5 + 2nd selection minimums

Candidates for the Danish Jægerkorpset operator course take Forsvaret's physical test at niveau 5 twice: at the 2-day 1st selection and again as a stop test at the 5-day 2nd selection in Aalborg. The 2nd selection also requires a 30 km march with 20 kg in at most 6 hours, 1,000 m breaststroke in at most 25 minutes and a 25 m underwater swim. Prior military training is a precondition.

Annual amounts calculated by us: the 2012 base amounts in the OK26 agreements (in force from 1 Apr 2026) multiplied by the regulation rate of 27.3204% from 1 Aug 2026; the next adjustment is due on 1 Apr 2027. The default assumes an operator serving as a sergent under the CS agreement, because Forsvaret does not publish the grade or agreement after training. The employer pension contribution is paid on top and is not included in the total.

Questions

Do the standards depend on age or sex?

No. The niveau 2–5 table has no age or sex columns, so the same values apply to everyone. Note that the Danish test contains no push-ups or sit-ups; strength is tested with split squats, dips, pull-ups and burpees. Dips and pull-ups are required in 3 sets of 5, entered here as reps per set.

Can I get into Jægerkorpset through conscription?

There is a conscript patrol platoon (Patruljedelingen) at Jægerkorpset, with its own test in week 2 of service: physical test niveau 2, a Cooper test of at least 2,400 m, burpees (at least 20 in 2 minutes), split squats 3 × 15 with 5 kg, maximum tests in pull-ups, dips, 300 m breaststroke and underwater swimming, a head-first dive from a 3 m board and a 10 km march without a pack. It is a separate track, not the operator course.

Where do the numbers come from?

From Forsvaret's official career site: the page "Operatør ved Jægerkorpset" (march, swimming and underwater minimums) and "Fysisk test niveau 1–5" (niveau 5 values), both read on 18 October 2026. The niveau 2–5 table is published as an image; its values match the ranges stated in the page text.
